A bit of Mystic Point showing itself

Mystic Point is found in Hong Kong Disneyland, between Toy Story land and Grizzly Gulch, to be open in 2013.

I like the sign entering Grizzly Gulch:
"Population 108 [not countin' the bears]"

Night view of Hong Kong Island

This is the view of Hong Kong island as seen from Ozone, the world's tallest bar from the top of the 5th tallest building in the world, the tallest one in Hong Kong:

A curious fabric display near the ICC

Between Kowloon Station on the way to dinner at Prime Steak House near the base of the International Commerce Centre, we came across this interesting display in Elements.

Hot tub wrapped up for the winter

It was a balmy 75 degrees so was nice enough to get that project done.
Like my new house keys? Changing out the locks ...

Interior window trim

Got the windows trimmed, 4 outlets installed and the new furnace motor put in.  The inverter system shows a draw of 0.3 amps where the old one was 0.6 amps.

Well, when the rain started

It was preceded by some of that small, white hard version of water.   I refuse to swear by saying that 4-letter word!

Fun with pals on the Gauley

This was day 2, getting ready to leave Canyon Doors, the overnight camp area Class VI has on the river.

Many pictures are available at http://photobucket.com/WWR2012WithGlen.

A couple was on the river with us, and they have shared some of their photos at Google+ as well.

Dad's batteries

We got the batteries all checked out for this year. Two of the batteries were just barely wet. We added about 2 gallons of distilled water across all 12 to get them a little fuller.

Trailer lights

Blew 3+ hours pulling all the wire out of the trailer to find the wire half way down the length of the trailer was completely worn through. Spliced out the bad part and put the wire in a protective case for the full length.

Little work at dad's

Got drywall under and around the door brackets for one bay.

We were hoping to put in a more efficient fan motor in the furnace, but it didn't look right. The existing 1/3 HP motor is much smaller than the 3/4 HP Emerson he was given. The book shows a 12% savings if he goes back and gets the same 1/3 HP BPM (brushless permanent magnet motohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brushless_AC_electric_motorr).

Cutting door to length

A neat trick is to put painters tape down where the cut will be and cut the tape to help prevent splinters. I put another run of take to give the saw something to ride on and not scuff the finish of the door.

And don't forget the doorknob!

Do it myself hinge mortise

Lay it out carefully.
And just like that, we have a nice place for that hinge to be placed:

What a bear!

I went through 3 pieces of sand paper for this little closet, while I hadn't even used one for the previous portion of the project!
My daughter picked up some All-purpose Spackling Paste at Home Depot when I ran out of the Sheetrock brand Joint Compound (Lightweight All Purpose with Dust Control). After reading about it, perhaps she picked up the wrong product for the job.

And then there were none!

It was surprisingly quick that all the babies left the nest.
